Pemicu meledaknya perang Irak adalah keyakinan bahwa di negara tersebut tersimpan sejumlah senjata pemusnah masal yang disembunyikan di suatu tempat di negeri ini. Pemerintah Amerika pun memerintahkan Chief Warrant Officer Roy Miller (Matt Damon) untuk mencari tahu lokasi senjata berbahaya ini.

Informasi lokasi senjata pemusnah masal ini jelas tak bisa didapat dari pihak Irak yang bersikukuh bahwa mereka tak memiliki senjata seperti yang dituduhkan pemerintah Amerika ini. Terpaksa Roy harus melacak lokasi senjata ini hanya dengan berbekal berbagai informasi yang didapatnya dari pihak intelejen. Meski telah mendapat bantuan peralatan canggih, tetap saja pekerjaan tersebut bukan pekerjaan mudah dan tanpa resiko.

In January 1942, the Japanese war machine thundered across South East Asia. In its path lay a tiny Catholic mission station Vunapope, on the island of New Britain. Here a handful of Australian nurses, led by Matron Kay Parker took refuge along with a number of wounded Australian soldiers. Abandoned by their commanding officers, they were left to face the Japanese alone. When the Japanese arrived at Vunapope, the nurses and their patients were saved from massacre by the mission’s leader, Polish-born Bishop Leo Scharmach. This astonishing man bluffed the Japanese into believing that he was a personal friend of Hitler and that the mission was Hitler’s property.

S I N O P S I S

Tahun 117 Sebelum Masehi, kekaisaran Romawi telah berhasil menaklukkan banyak wilayah. Bahkan sampai Mesir dan Spanyol pun saat itu bertekuk lutut di bawah kekaisaran Romawi. Sayangnya, masih ada satu ganjalan yang belum bisa dituntaskan tentara Romawi yang gagah perkasa. Ada satu suku di Skotlandia yang masih memberontak dan tak ada pasukan Romawi yang berhasil menaklukkan suku ini.

Quintus Dias (Michael Fassbender) adalah Centurion pasukan Romawi yang berhasil lolos dari sergapan pasukan bangsa Picts. Seluruh pasukan Quintus dibantai habis dan hanya Centurion ini saja yang berhasil lolos. Untungnya Quintus bertemu pasukan Romawi yang dipimpin oleh Titus Flavius Virilus (Dominic West).

Titus sendiri sebenarnya ditugaskan untuk menumpas bangsa Picts dan membunuh pemimpinnya. Sayangnya misi ini juga tak berjalan dengan lancar karena tak lama kemudian pasukan Titus juga menghadapi serangan bangsa Picts. Kali ini hanya ada enam orang saja yang berhasil selamat termasuk Quintus Dias. Kini Quintus tak lagi bisa menghindar. Ia harus memimpin lima orang bawahannya untuk menyelamatkan Titus sebelum mereka semua bisa pulang kembali ke markas pasukan.

A French Foreign Legion unit is on patrol in Vietnam in 1954 during the First Indochina War. The captain of the patrol curses the land when they see nothing. Then, the unit is suddenly ambushed by Vietminh forces who kill the officers and, although the unit kills many enemies it is soon overrun. Nguyen Huu An (Don Duong), hypothesising that if they take no prisoners the French will eventually stop sending troops, orders the execution of all surviving French soldiers.

The film depicts the inside of a tank, and the view from inside through the gunsight (every change in the horizontal and vertical viewing direction is accompanied by the hydraulic whine of the traversing gun turret). There are four Israeli soldiers inside: the driver in the tank's hull, and the loader, the gunner and the commander in the turret. Part of the time, there is also the body of a dead Israeli soldier (kept there until it is taken away by helicopter), a Syrian POW, a visiting higher officer, and a visiting Phalangist (Lebanese Maronite Catholic allied with Israel) who threatens the POW.
